{"id":230,"date":"2009-12-09T17:06:11","date_gmt":"2009-12-10T00:06:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/192.168.205.130\/?p=230"},"modified":"2009-12-09T17:06:12","modified_gmt":"2009-12-10T00:06:12","slug":"selection-of-quotes-lewis-kept-in-his-office","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lewismoon.com\/?p=230","title":{"rendered":"Selection of Quotes Lewis Kept in His Office"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you love someone, you <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">may<\/span> suffer <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">with<\/span> them, but you will <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">never<\/span> suffer <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">for<\/span> them.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The promise\/potential of an intimate relationship is that we may learn to value our differences and thus go beyond our limited perception and understanding.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>If you believe that you understand someone completely, you are in error.\u00a0 We cannot understand ourselves completely, let along understand someone else completely.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No two people can experience the same situation in the same way.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When we differ with each other respectfully, we have the potential to understand\/perceive more completely\/accurately than we are capable of by ourselves.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As Humans: meaning is found not in owning things, but in maintaining relationships.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As Humans: we have a need to<\/p>\n<p>make sense and order out of the world of experience<\/p>\n<p>the people and things outside<\/p>\n<p>the thoughts, feelings and sensations inside<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When you make music with other people you bring yourself in tune with them.\u00a0 You become more than just yourself.\u00a0 You become part of something greater than the sum of its parts.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When we can respectfully explore and discuss our beliefs and understandings of scripture there is the potential that we may be led by the Holy Spirit in that process.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>My life has been a quest for wisdom and the direct experience of God.\u00a0 (Occassionally successful)<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lewis O.
